BBL Final: What you need to know

It's a massive weekend for cricket with the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) to host the final of the KFC Big Bash League|05 after the Melbourne Stars defeated the Perth Scorchers at the MCG on Friday night.

With the Stars finishing second on the BBL|05 ladder, they won the right to host the final this coming Sunday, January 24 at the MCG, after top-of-the-table Adelaide Strikers were defeated by Sydney Thunder.

The final will be a double header, with the Rebel Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) Final taking place beforehand and featuring Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers.

KFC BBL final schedule

Sunday, Jan 24

BBL final – Melbourne Stars v Sydney Thunder, MCG, 7.20pm AEDT

WBBL final – Sydney Thunder v Sydney Sixers, MCG, 1.40pm AEDT

Gates open at 1:15pm.

Both matches will be broadcast live on Network Ten. 

BBL Final ticketing information (all times AEDT)

•         Saturday Jan 23, 10am – 12pm Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder members pre-sale

•         Saturday Jan 23, 12pm – MCC members on sale

•         Saturday Jan 23, 1pm – General Public on-sale

As a large crowd is expected, fans are encouraged to pre-purchase their tickets. Fans are also encouraged to catch public transport due to the large number of events on in Melbourne’s sports precinct on Sunday.

Melbourne Stars ticket prices start at $25 for adults, $6 for kids, $17 for Concession and $53.00 for a family.
