Iconic Australian fashion and lifestyle publication Harper’s BAZAAR recently celebrated their Woman Of The Year issue. Instead of focusing on a single personality the magazine decided to feature some of Australia’s top female athletes including Australian cricket star Ellyse Perry.
The dynamite all rounder was among only five female sporting stars to be featured, with the issue focusing on female sport receiving the recognition it so strongly deserves.
Ellyse looks completely fierce in the photoshoot, and clearly demonstrates that high fashion and cricket go hand in hand...but we already knew that.
The achievement caps off a pretty amazing year for Perry, who only a few weeks ago picked up the award for 'Outstanding Woman In Sport' and earlier this year played a vital role in helping Australia to take home Ashes victory.
Perry is also still the youngest female to represent Australia in cricket (yep...she was only 16) and is the first Australian to have appeared in both cricket and association football World Cups.
At now 25 years of age Perry is proving to be one of Australia’s most exciting talents and if you are asking the question of whether this recent success has gone to Perry’s head...the answer is no. She is still as modest as ever and prefers to keep a pretty low key profile off the field.
