Cricketer Kevin Pietersen and wife Jessica Taylor might not be getting much sleep after the arrival of their second child, a beautiful daughter named Rosie.
The Melbourne Stars batsman played the opening two matches of KFC Big Bash League before returning home to be with his family for Christmas and to be at the birth.
Both Pietersen and his wife posted on social media on Monday night AEDT about the safe arrival of daughter Rosie, a sister to five-year-old Dylan.
The safe arrival of Pietersen's means the former England captain may return to Australia as scheduled for the big Melbourne derby bash against the Renegades on January 2.
It was announced before BBL|05 began that Pietersen would play the opening two matches of the tournament but miss the December 27 clash against the Sixers in Sydney.
The Stars managed without their star import on Sunday night, recording their first win of the season in front of almost 30,000 spectators at the SCG.
